The San Sebastian Lau Haizetara Forum announces the third edition of the IBAIA prize, which will be awarded to the best documentary project out of those presented

The 15th edition of the San Sebastian Lau Haizetara Documentary Co-Production Forum will award, for the third time, the IBAIA prize for the best project presented during the pitching day this coming 26 September. The aim is to take another step forward in the development process of high-quality documentary genre projects and to galvanise their production, collaboration and initiation. In the last year’s edition, the prize was awarded to the Project ‘’Lobster Soup’ by Rafael Molés and Pepe Andreu (REC-Grabaketa Estudioa-Axfilms).  The fifteen selected projects have a chance to win this 3,000 euro…

Details are emerging about the 15th edition of the San Sebastián Lau Haizetara Documentary Co-Production Forum, which will take place from 24 to 26 September 2019. A month before the 15th edition of the San Sebastián Lau Haizetara Documentary Co-Production Forum gets under way, we are already beginning to discover the details of an event which, year after year, welcomes more professionals from the cinema industry linked to the documentary genre. TREELINE DISTRIBUTION will once again award a distribution and festival consultancy prize to one of the selected projects in the San Sebastian Lau Haizetara Documentary Forum

The  San Sebastian Lau Haizetara Documentary Forum and Treeline Distribution have renewed the agreement which they signed in 2013 with the aim of continuing to boost and strengthen the documentary industry. For the seventh consecutive year, the distributor will grant the Distribution and Festival Consultancy Prize, consisting of 2  advisory sessions for the project: a first consultancy session during the documentary development stage, and a second one once the documentary is finished.

The Lau Haizetara Forum of San Sebastián maintains its collaboration agreements with FIPADOC of Biarritz and DocsBarcelona

The continuation of these alliances will boost the presence of projects in two different complementary and specialised markets for the documentary genre, and thus promote the completion of the development and financing. The different institutions agree to continue collaborating and carrying out joint actions to promote co-productions and strengthen the documentary industry.   (more…)

THE SAN SEBASTIAN LAU HAIZETARA FORUM AND THE NOKA PROGRAMME ESTABLISH A COLLABORATION AGREEMENT

This year, for the first time, this alliance will permit one of the documentary projects selected in NOKA Mentoring, the mentoring programme devoted to Basque women filmmakers, to be presented in the pitching session of the Lau Haizetara Forum, which will be held in September within the framework of the San Sebastian Film Festival, thus promoting the visibility of Basque women filmmakers.
