Agreement between Lau Haizetara Forum / DocsBarcelona International Documentary Festival

Logo Foro+DocsDocsBarcelona and the Lau Haizetara Forum establish a collaboration agreement which will be favourable to the exchange of documentary projects between the two.

The aim of this alliance is to boost the presence of projects in two different complementary and specialised markets for the documentary genre, and to thus promote the completion of the development and financing.

The joint effort between the organising bodies will allow the following:

  • Each year, one of the projects presented in the Lau Haizetara Forum pitching session and one of the projects participating in the DocsBarcelona speed meetings will be chosen by the respective selection committees to automatically participate in the other marketplace
  • The chosen projects will be accredited for DocsBcn and the San Sebastian Film Festival
  • Participation in individual meetings, the main activity of the industry marketplace and the ideal space to introduce the project to financiers and distributors
  • Participation in Lau Haizetara Forum training workshops
  • Lunches for participants during the workshop, speed meeting and pitching session days
  • Access to parallel activities included in the Forum programme
  • Publication of the project information in the official catalogues and in the usual dissemination media

The agreement will be set in motion at the next edition of DocsBarcelona which will be held from 16 to 27 May. Therefore, one of the forty projects selected for the speed meetings could benefit from these conditions. Likewise, the projects presented at the pitching session of the Lau Haizetara Forum on 27 September will compete under the same conditions to attend DocsBarcelona 2019.
