The XVI San Sebastian Lau Haizetara Documentary Co-production Forum will take place on 21, 22 and 23 September 2021 within the framework of the 69th San Sebastian International Film Festival (www.sansebastianfestival.com).
This Forum is an ideal space in which to present a documentary project to potential funders and experts from the audiovisual and cinema sectors. A meeting point for professionals from the audiovisual sector linked to the documentary genre.
The Forum has three different phases: Workshops, Pitching Session, and Individual Meetings.
The Workshops are a training activity which takes place during the two days before the Forum starts (21 and 22 September). They offer producers an opportunity to develop their projects with professional experts who will provide the appropriate tools to extract the projects’ maximum potential.
The pitching session will take place on the morning of 23 September at the Palacio Kursaal, and the producers will present their projects to a panel of prominent Commissioning Editors. This session will have an experienced moderator in the subject and will be simultaneously translated. The projects may be presented in Spanish and English and the pitching time for each project will be 7 minutes (teaser included).
On 23 September, in the afternoon, the program will be complemented with an agenda of one-to-one meetings between the Commissioning Editors and the representatives of the presented projects, with the aim of specifying possible collaboration agreements.
The program will be accompanied by a series of parallel activities that will try to bring the public closer to the reality of European cinema and culture.
