A broad and outstanding panel of Commissioning Editors will be present at the forthcoming edition of the San Sebastián Lau Haizetara Documentary Co-Production Forum

One week before the 18th edition of the LAU HAIZETARA Documentary Co-Production Forum of San Sebastián gets under way, we can reveal some of the Commissioning Editors who will be present at this event which, year after year, welcomes more and more professionals from the cinema industry linked to the documentary genre.

ARTE FRANCE (France), CAT&Docs (France), BBC FACTUAL – Arts and Music (UK), LIGHTDOX (Switzerland), POV & AMERICA REFRAMED – AMERICA DOCUMENTARY, INC (USA), RTVE (Spain), TG4 (Ireland), WOMEN MAKE MOVIES (USA), CURRENT TIME TV (USA) and RED BULL STUDIOS (Austria) are some of the names making up the panel for this edition. A panel which will be made up of representatives of television companies, platforms, sales agents and national and international distributors of the highest level who will try to facilitate the opening up of new international markets for the documentaries presented. The complete list of attending Commissioning Editors will be available for consultation via the Forum’s website: www.lauhaizetara.eu.

Although the LAU HAIZETARA Forum of San Sebastián, which will take place from 19 to 21 September 2022, will be in-person, it will facilitate the online participation of some Commissioning Editors who cannot be in San Sebastián on those dates but have shown great interest in the activity and the submitted projects.

It is worth highlighting that this year, the preparation workshops and the pitching sessions themselves (on the morning of 21 September) will take place at TABAKALERA-International Centre for Contemporary Culture. The project director and producer will have 7 minutes to pitch all their project’s potential and show the teaser to the panel members and accredited attendees. The program will be complemented with one-to-one meetings of approximately 15 minutes between the Commissioning Editors and the representatives of the presented projects, with the aim of facilitating financing through possible collaboration, co-production or pre-sales agreements.
